Monster Tracks puts you behind the wheel of a monster truck on a stunt course. The job is simple to state: drive along the track, hit the ramps, land the jumps and reach the end with the truck still the right way up. There is nothing to install, and it runs in the browser page.

How to play

The whole game is played with the arrow keys.

• Up or right arrow: accelerate.
• The opposite key (down or left): brake.

Hold the accelerator to build speed toward a ramp, take the jump, and then use the keys while you are in the air and after touchdown to keep the truck steady. The game itself warns that heavy trucks tip easily, so the aim on every landing is to come down flat rather than nose-first or on the back wheels.

Tips

1. Run the opening stretch slowly once. Learning how the truck reacts to a ramp at low speed tells you what full speed will do.
2. Do not hold the accelerator all the way through every ramp. More speed means more distance, but also more time in the air to end up tilted.
3. Ease off and tap the brake before a landing if you are rotating forward; a flat touchdown is worth more than a longer jump.
4. If the page stalls, reload it. Use the fullscreen button under the game for a larger view of the course.
